marco breuer • scratches on chromogenic paper

Marco Breuer, C-615

what i like best about this work by marco breuer is the simplicity of it. here he scratches directly onto photo paper to produce pictures that resemble drawings or paintings much more than they do photographs. little indexical traces forged by hand. forget cameras, forget mechanical reproducibility (each print is a unique object). view some more of marco's work here.
