Dean's busy with a new project for which he doesn't have images yet but I wanted to close out the week with some of my favorites of his work Figures of Lust Furtively Encountered in the Night. If there's been a running theme through this week's posts it's the materiality of photography itself, and while these works are 2D found images their circumstance, foregrounding the displayed body while erasing the identity of the photographer, speaks to the end use of a lot of what my interview subjects have talked about--how images circulate and why.You can find more of Dean's work here.
