with this clever series melanie wilhide asks us to look at the backs of photographs. but don't be fooled, they are artificial artifacts. she first makes the photograph and then makes the back by combining marks such as writing or stains. she then digitally composites them. i especially love the way...if you look carefully...the image bleeds through. see more of melanie's stuff right here.
