jason salavon makes so many great digital projects. these are from a series titled shoes, domestic production and though they look like "psychedelic constellations" they are actually "accurate visualizations of statistical data tracking the US domestic production of shoes and slippers from 1960-1998 in 31 categories." see more of jason's work here.
