Where did you find these pictures and why do you keep them?

I found these images last Winter inside of a mangled car at a junkyard in Vermont. The car was filled with this man's possessions, which included dozens of Polaroids of himself holding up various fish that he had caught. Most of the photos have writing that indicates the date, location as well as the size and weight of the fish. Though they exude a certain feeling of loneliness, there's also sense of beauty and pride.
