Kate Steciw and friends - Custom Frames

I really like projects that address the circulation of images on the internet.
From the website's statement:

Custom Frames is a platform for showcasing images that, while possessing some aesthetic or emotional value, are never finished, processed, shared or deleted outright. These images images occupy digital and psychic space yet exist in a sate of perpetual "storage".

Framing signifies a state of being "finished". Here, these lost images are given a custom frame, uploaded and publicly archived. Users are invited to add to this archive of otherwise forgotten photographs provided, of course, that they add their own custom frame.
