This panel explores the collision of photography, mass media, and politics in examining the role of images in the 2008 presidential campaign and beyond. Artists and media experts share their experiences and explore the power of photography in constructing our image of the presidency.

Panelists will include New York Times campaign picture editor David Scull; Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Todd Heisler who has been following both Democratic and Republican candidates; photographer Tim Davis whose body of work My Life in Politics, irreverently examines American politics; and Robert Hariman, Chair of Communication Studies at Northwestern University.
