ah, this is a little beauty of a book by mike brodie titled tones of dirt and bone. the book is one in a subscription series of four created by and available for purchase through these birds walk (the other photographers include jim goldberg, ari marcopoulos, and the man behind t.b.w. himself, paul schiek). as the website eloquently sums it up: "these birds walk was established in oakland california to provide affordable art books that quietly exist somewhere between a discarded pamphlet on the street and a high end coffee table book." very cool. oh, and you can take a peak at more of mike brodie's work here.
