ann shelton • a library to scale

ann shelton is from new zealand. she takes pictures of books (among other things). the dorky-ph.d.-student-book-fetishist in me just loves it. for her project called a library to scale she installed giant photographic prints of books along the walls of a gallery so that the viewer experiences the facade of a book shelf (installation shot is above). the books themselves are aptly chosen, their spines are terribly pretty and their titles are amazingly mundane, like "births etc" and "petrol." you can also see more of ann's work here.
