i'm keen on these photos of ambassadors by écal students thomas adank and florian joye. seems like you can tell a lot about a nation from their furniture. see more from this series here.

körner union is cool

körner union is made up of three fellows from switzerland: sami benhadj, tarik hayward, and guy meldem. they met as students at the école cantonale d'art de lausanne (a.k.a ecal) and founded körner union in 1999. i love the interesting balance between order and chaos they manage to strike in the photos from these two series. plus they consistently produce some of the more interesting commercial photography i've seen. they are represented by the recent but promising fette's gallery in los angeles. and you can take a peek at more of there stuff here.
